I will shortly embark up on a gradual build-up of online presentation of the Remembering Forgetting body of work.
I need to decide what I will use as my ‘hero image’, i.e. the lead image to use in visual promotions. The image should be the one I consistently use to promote the work if I can only use one image; it needs to be the one that people gradually associate with the body of work over the period of my promotional activity. If I have an exhibition, for example, it would be the poster. If I do a book, the cover image.
Thus far I have flipped between different images for various purposes, but it feels like time to choose one and stick with it. The following four are the candidates in my mind.

Any opinions gratefully received!
For me it would have to be either 1 or 2. There’s an immediacy about these for some reason whereas the one with the feather takes more time. There’s also space to write something if needed. However, in the end it’s your choice and always the most difficult one!

Thanks. I’ve always preferred 1 but also worry that I’m unusually attracted to gloves 😂

Rob, I’d go 1 – ‘the glove’ – it makes a very strong immediate formal impact and the content is a perfect point of entry to the work in general. All the best, Allan

Good point on the formal aspect. Thanks.

I’d go for the glove too Rob – it immediately connects to the human element and the “something missing”

Yeah, I’m inclined to agree. Cheers Lynda!

Hi Rob, I would go for 1 or 4 as 2 & 3 do not have enough immediate impact. Of the 1 & 4 options 4 does not really have the essence of the original beginnings of the project, gloves, and secondly is probably more difficult to have text on it if needed. So for me 1 wins.
